Definition of Sihr

Sihr is an agreement set  up between sahir and Satan, which stipulates that the sahir commit certain illegal or polytheistic acts, in return for the Satan assistance and obedience in fulfilling the sahir request.

Sihr is an act which brings one closer to, and with help, of Satan. the basic meaning of sihr is to make something appear in a form other than one. When a sahir make something false appear differently from its true form, it means that he has given an object a status other than its real one. Arabs have given it the name sihr because, it can transform good health into illness. 

According to Muslim tradition, sihr is anything the cause of which is hidden, and which appears in a form other than its real one, with the intention to distort the reality of things and deceive. Sihr is a set of uqad (knots) ruqa (incantations) and words uttered or written or carried out in such a way as to affect the body of the subject (al-mashur) his heart or mind, without even coming into contact with him/her. The reality of shir is that there are some types that can kill, cause one to fall ill, or act as an obstacle against a man having sexual intercourse with his wife. Other types can separate spouses, and can make them hate or love each other.

Some sahara use the Quran as footwear to go to the toilet. Some write the Quranic verses with filth. Some write them using menses discharge. Some write them under their feet. Some anagrammatise (writing in reverse) the Opening Chapter (Al-Fatiha)of the Quran. Some perform salat without wudu. Some remain in a state if janaba.

Some sacrifice animals to Satan, without initiating the slaughter with the words:(Bismillah ar-rahmani ar-rahim) In the Name of Allah, Most Merciful, Most Beneficent and place the carcass at a location specified by the Satan. Some of them speak to planets and prostrate to them, instead of prostrating to Allah. Some of them commit incest (with their mothers or daughters) others, write incantations in a non-Arabic language, carrying overtones of kufr (disbelief).

From this standpoint, it is clear that al-jinn do not assist the sahir without something in return, and the greater the sahir disbelief is the more obedient the Satan is to him and faster in executing his orders. However, if the sahir abstains from committing acts of disbelief, as instructed by Satan, the latter will stop executing the sahir orders.

The sahir and the Satan are therefore two accomplices in disobeying Allah (swt). A look at the face of sahir will confirm what i have said about him; the darkness of kufr cover his face like a black cloud. If you get closer to him, you will discover that he lives in a psychological misery with his wife and children, and even with himself. He cannot sleep peacefully at night, with a clear conscience. He often wakes up in a terrified state several times at night in addition, most of the times demons harm his children and wife, and cause division and marital squabbles.

Evidence of the Existence of Jinn and Demons

The relationship between jinn and sihr is a strong one; for the jinn and demons are the driving force behind sihr. Some people deny the existence of jinn and, therefore, sihr. Below is a brief list of the evidence on the existence of jinn and demons:

Evidence from Quran

1: And We turned to thee a company of jinn giving ear to the Quran. (36:29)

2: Company of jinn and mankind, did not Messengers come to you from among you, relating to you My signs and warning you of the encounter of this your day? (6:130)

3: O tribe of jinn and of men, if you are able to pass through the confines of heaven and earth pass through them,. You shall not pass through except with an authority. (45:33)

4: Say, It has been revealed to me that a company of the jinn gave ear, then they said," We have indeed heard a Quran wonderful. (62:1)

5: But there are certain men of mankind who would take refuge with certain men of the jinn, and the increased them in vileness. (62:6)

6: Satan only desires to precipitate enmity and hatred between you in regard to wine and arrow-shuffling, and from salat. Will you then desist? (24:21)

7: O Belivers, follow not the steps of Satan; for whosoever follows the steps of Satan, assuredly he bids to indecency and dishonour. (24:21)

Evidence from sunna

Ibn Masud (ra) narrated: One night, we were in the company of the Messenger of Allah and we lost him, We serached for him in the valleys and the hills and wondered: He has either been taken away (by jinn) or has been killed. We spent the worst night that people could ever spend. At dawn, we saw him coming from the side of Hira. We said, O Messenger of Allah, we lost you and searched for you, but we could not find you and spent the wrost night that people could ever spend. The Prophet Muhammad (saw) replied: There came to me a representative of Jinn so i went with him and recited the Quran to them.

The Prophet (saw) proceeded: then i went with him and he showed us their tracks and the traces of their embers. The Jinn asked the Prophet (saw) about their means of subsistence, to which he replied? Every bone on which the name of Allah recited is your provision. The time it falls in your hand it shall be covered with fliesh, and the dung of )camels) is fodder for your animals.

1: The Messenger of Allah said: Do not perform istinja (washing one,s genitals prior to wudu) with these (things) for these are the food of your brothers (the Jinn)

2: Abu Said al-Kudri (ra) reported: The Prophet (saw) said to me, I gather you like sheep and wilderness and you want ro announce azan for salat, raise your voice when doing so, as whoever hears it, be they a human being, Jinn or any other creature, will be a witness for you on the Day of Resurrection.

3: Hazrat Aisha reported: the Prophet (saw) said, Angles were created out of light, Jinn were created from fire and Adam was created out of what has been descroibed to you.

4: Hazrat Saffiyya bintu Huyay narrated: The Prophet (saw) said, Satan circulates in the body of mankind like blood.

5: Abdullah Ibn Umar (ra) reported: The Prophet (saw) said, when you eat, use your right hand, and when you drink, use your right hand, because Satan eats and drinks with his left hand.

6: Abu Hurayra (ra) reported: The Prophet (saw) said, Any newborn at the time of delivery is kicked by Satan, and cries as a result, except the son of Marriam (Jesus) and his mother.

7: Abdullah Ibn Masud (ra) reported: Asked on his opinion of a man who slept through night till morning (after sunrise and missed salat al-Fajr) the Prophet (saw) said, that is a man whose ears (or ear) Satan has urinated.

Evidence of the Existence of Sihr from Quran

To learn and to practice magic is forbidden in Islam. its mean to seek refuge from fake powers ( called as Gods ) and this is ban in islam. To gain the right knowledge upon the right path yields permanent gain and advantage and this path leads to Allah and His Prophet (PBUH). Whereas the bad practices lead to the paths of devils, shitaans and which are nothing but just a temporary gain and permanent loss. The difference between miracle and magic is that miracle takes place due to Allah will whereas magic is a product of evil and malefic practice.

It is sometimes defined as deception by showing something to an audience, which is contrary to reality. In Islam this is part of magic, which is, however, defined as seeking the help of demons to perform something harmful against somebody. The Qur’an specifically mentions it as an evil discipline sifli, ilm practiced by the devils from both among the men and the jinn-folk. Islam considers magic to be an act of blasphemy. Thus, the Holy Quran says,

And they followed [instead] what the devils had recited during the reign of Solomon. It was not Solomon who disbelieved, but the devils disbelieved, teaching people magic and that which was revealed to the two angels at Babylon, Harut and Marut. But the two angels do not teach anyone unless they say, "We are a trial, so do not disbelieve [by practicing magic]." And [yet] they learn from them that by which they cause separation between a man and his wife. But they do not harm anyone through it except by permission of Allah . And the people learn what harms them and does not benefit them. But the Children of Israel certainly knew that whoever purchased the magic would not have in the Hereafter any share. And wretched is that for which they sold themselves, if they only knew. (Surah Al-Bakarah verse no 102)

And even if We had sent down to you, [O Muhammad], a written scripture on a page and they touched it with their hands, the disbelievers would say, "This is not but obvious magic." (Surah Al-Anam verse no 7)

Said the eminent among the people of Pharaoh, "Indeed, this is a learned magician And the magicians came to Pharaoh. They said, "Indeed for us is a reward if we are the predominant." (Surah Al-Araf verse no 109)

He said, "Throw," and when they threw, they bewitched the eyes of the people and struck terror into them, and they presented a great [feat of] magic. (Surah Al-Araf verse no 116)

Moses said, "Do you say [thus] about the truth when it has come to you? Is this magic? But magicians will not succeed." (Surah Yunus verse no 77)

And when they had thrown, Moses said, "What you have brought is [only] magic. Indeed, Allah will expose its worthlessness. Indeed, Allah does not amend the work of corrupter's (Surah Yunus verse no 81)

He said, "Have you come to us to drive us out of our land with your magic, O Moses? (Surah Taha verse no 57)

Then we will surely bring you magic like it, so make between us and you an appointment, which we will not fail to keep and neither will you, in a place assigned." (Surah Taha verse no 58)

They said, "Indeed, these are two magicians who want to drive you out of your land with their magic and do away with your most exemplary way. (Surah Taha verse no 63)

He said, "Rather, you throw." And suddenly their ropes and staffs seemed to him from their magic that they were moving [like snakes].(Surah Taha verse no 66)

And throw what is in your right hand; it will swallow up what they have crafted. What they have crafted is but the trick of a magician, and the magician will not succeed wherever he is."(Surah Taha verse no 69)

So the magicians fell down in prostration. They said, "We have believed in the Lord of Aaron and Moses."(Surah Taha verse no 70) [Pharaoh] said, "You believed him before I gave you permission. Indeed, he is your leader who has taught you magic. So I will surely cut off your hands and your feet on opposite sides, and I will crucify you on the trunks of palm trees, and you will surely know which of us is more severe in [giving] punishment and more enduring."(Surah Taha verse no 71)

Indeed, we have believed in our Lord that He may forgive us our sins and what you compelled us [to do] of magic. And Allah is better and more enduring." (Surah Taha verse no 73)

And to Solomon [We subjected] the wind - its morning [journey was that of] a month - and its afternoon [journey was that of] a month, and We made flow for him a spring of [liquid] copper. And among the jinn were those who worked for him by the permission of his Lord. And whoever deviated among them from Our command - We will make him taste of the punishment of the Blaze.(Surah Saba verse no 12)

And when We decreed for Solomon death, nothing indicated to the jinn his death except a creature of the earth eating his staff. But when he fell, it became clear to the jinn that if they had known the unseen, they would not have remained in humiliating punishment. (Surah Saba verse no 14)

They will say, "Exalted are You! You, [O Allah ], are our benefactor not them. Rather, they used to worship the jinn; most of them were believers in them."(Surah Saba verse no 41)

And I (Allah) created not the jinns and humans except they should worship Me (Alone)(Surah Adh-Dhariyat verse no 56)

And the jinns did He create from a smokeless flame of fire.(Surah Al-Rehman verse no 15)

assembly of jinns and men! If you have power to pass beyond the zones of the heavens and the earth, then pass (them)! But you will never be able to pass them, except with authority (from Allah)!(Surah Al-Rehman verse no 33)

'And verily, there were men among mankind who took shelter with the masculine among the jinns, but they (jinns) increased them (mankind) in sin and disbelief.(Surah Al-Jinn verse no 06)

Cure of Black Magic

CATEGORIES OF MAGIC

The relation between goodness – badness, evil – good and right – wrong is as similar to day and night: both of them are incomplete and useless with out each other and at the same time, no one can deny their existence. Those creations inhering only goodness, rightness, uprightness, and which are error free are angels. And contrary to this those creations that are full of evil, and no matter of goodness is found – are devils, jinn, Mephistophelean spirits and malefic creations. TWO: The sihr of people who have fantasies and hallucinations. Ar-Razi argued hpw fantasy may have an effect on people. For instance, a man may be able to walk on the trunk of tree on the ground surface, but cant do so if the trunk is placed alongside a river of similar place.

THREE: Seeing the assistance of worldly spirits ( the jinn ) who are two types; believers, and the disbelievers who are domons. A skilled magician can perform a trick that stuns the minds of viewers and catches their eyesm leaving them preoccupied with gazing at an object; thereby immediately performing another trick, which appears them other than what they are expecting, and are; thus, left dumbfounded, If the magician remains silent, dose not say things which distract the minds of the viewers, they would be aware of all the tricks he had intended to perform.

FIVE: Marvelous objects such as a geometrically made arwork. For Exmple, a knight riding on a horseback, holding a horn in his hand, appearing to blow every hour. This type, including the construction of a clock mechanism should not be considered as part of magic, because it is based on positive causes, and if man understands science better, he will be able to produce more advanced machines. These things have became known now following the advance of technology which has been the driving force behind the invention of a number of marvellous objects.

SIX: The magician use to specfic medication on food and oinments. Bear in mind that there is no gainsaying the effect of such medication, as the effect of hypnotism is clear.

SEVEN: The sahir claims that he knows the supreme name of God ann that the jinn obey his commands in many things. if the person listener to the sahir weak-minded, and less perceptive, then he would believe that what the sahir may tell him is the truth. Thus, a listener is attached to what he believes is the truth, and so could be easily frightened. Once fear is insilled, his sensory perception is weakened, and the sahir would be capable of doing whatever he wishes.

AGREEMENT BETWEEN MAGICIAN AND DEMON

In most cases, an agreement is set up between a magician and a demon, requiring that the former commit certain pagan rituals, whether secretly or openly, and the latter provide the services he need or send someone to do the job. Usually, the agreement is set up between a magician and one of  the chiefs of the tribe of jinn and demons. The chief instructs one of the tribe's disrespectful demons to work fot the magician, obeying his orders and informing him of past events, causing separatation of a man from his wife, a love spell between two people, making someone incompetent.

Therefore, the relationship between magician and the recuited jinn is based on hatred. Usually, this jinn would harm the magician wife, children or wealth, or even the sahir himself; although the magician would not be aware of the cause of his suffering; such as constant pain, insomnia and the sudden frightful waking-up during the night.

There is no evidence to refute these claims, given that we do not deny the illusion and ( other means of make believe ) in magic. However there are further logical issues and which are indicate in Quran,

Surah Al-Bakarah verse no 102: They followed what the Shayatin (devils) gave out (falsely of the magic) in the lifetime of Sulaiman (Solomon). Sulaiman did not disbelieve, but the Shayatin (devils) disbelieved, teaching men magic and such things that came down at  Babylon to the two angels,Harut and Marut, but neither of these two (angels) taught anyone (such things) till they had said, "We are only for trial, so disbelieve not (by learning this magic from us)." And from these (angels) people learn that by which they cause separation between man and his wife, but they could not thus harm anyone except by Allah's Leave. And they learn that which harms them and profits them not. And indeed they knew that the buyers of it (magic) would have no share in the Hereafter. And how bad indeed was that for which they sold their ownselves, if they but knew. 

Surah Al-Kahf verse no 50: And (remember) when We said to the angels; "Prostrate to Adam." So they prostrated except Iblis (Satan). He was one of the jinns; he disobeyed the Command of his Lord. Will you then take him (Iblis) and his offspring as protectors and helpers rather than Me while they are enemies to you? What an evil is the exchange for the Zalimun polytheists, and wrong-doers, etc. 

Surah Al-Anam verse no 07: And even if We had sent down to you, [O Muhammad], a written scripture on a page and they touched it with their hands, the disbelievers would say, "This is not but obvious magic.

Surah Al-Araf verse no 109: Said the eminent among the people of Pharaoh, "Indeed, this is a learned magician

Surah Al-Araf verse no 112, 113: Who will bring you every learned magician."And the magicians came to Pharaoh. They said, "Indeed for us is a reward if we are the predominant."

Surah Al-Araf verse no 115, 116: They said, "O Moses, either you throw [your staff], or we will be the ones to throw [first]." He said, "Throw," and when they threw, they bewitched the eyes of the people and struck terror into them, and they presented a great [feat of] magic.

Surah Yunus verse no 77: Moses said, "Do you say [thus] about the truth when it has come to you? Is this magic? But magicians will not succeed."

Surah Yunus verse no 81: And when they had thrown, Moses said, "What you have brought is [only] magic. Indeed, Allah will expose its worthlessness. Indeed, Allah does not amend the work of corrupters.

Surah Taha verse no 63: They said, "Indeed, these are two magicians who want to drive you out of your land with their magic and do away with your most exemplary way.
